I needed a more detailed visual representation of the over all look of the sheep shop, this meant I had to start learning how to use perspective techniques such as the 1, 2 and 3 point drawing tools to create a more appealing conceptual drawing of the sheep shop!
Being as though the practical progression is what I will have my main attention on I still need to produce the pre-production work which is very much the same for both mediums, the only difference being if the director needed a certain camera angle that a stop-motion set would not allow, the requirements of removable walls or replica sets will need to be taken into account and noted in the concept art. this is not needed in CGI due to the capabilities of a 3D programme where any object can easily be turned off or even just intersected by the camera itself which is impossible in stop-motion. this raises the various physical problems that need addressing with stop motion that make it more time consuming and cost defective when requiring more tools and hours labour. But this increases the longing for stop-motion animation as we know the tricks of the trade, we know how much work goes into it whereas CGI animation is always known to be able to do anything so its never that much more impressive when we see something new or complex compared to stop motion
